Well friends, the Yulin “festival” is finally coming to an end. I started digging a hole to China but mom said I wouldn’t get there in time to try and help.
Remember, a 10,000 slaughter of dogs and cats for this 10-day festival is a pittance of the 27,500 slaughtered daily in China. Boknal is coming up in a few weeks in S. Korea and I will be doing a much more in depth post but I want to let you know that some estimates say almost two-thirds of S. Korea’s dog meat consumption occurs during this summer solstice in July and August – that’s over 1.5 million dogs! Yulin gets a huge amount of social media coverage but Boknal is FAR worse!
Help me spread the word! Let’s educate the masses and try to find a solution to end this ignorance and unnecessary torture.
