Today let’s identify countries where dog meat is eaten. Historically, human consumption of dog meat has been DOCUMENTED (remember there are plenty of places where it’s not) in many parts of the world including East & Southeast Asia, West Africa, Europe, South West Pacific, Canada and the Americas. But in the 21st century, it is more focused in the following locations:

China
Korea (both North and South)
Vietnam
Cambodia
Thailand
Japan
Taiwan – ILLEGAL AS OF 4/11/17
Philippines
Switzerland
India
Indonesia

This list only captures where the trade is still present and publicized. Understand that as mentioned a few days ago, it is legal in the US in 44 states. It is also legal in Canada if the dogs are raised to be consumed and not kept for pets. It’s also still present in certain African countries.

This is all overwhelming however it’s important to understand that while it took this long to escalate to this gravity, it will take a while to change it. Slow and steady but we can make an impact!
